Delve into the tiny worlds captured in our "Macro" gallery. These close-up shots reveal intricate details often overlooked by the naked eye.

I was playing around with my iPhone 15 pro max macro mode. This is a backlit tulip center. I edited this in photoshop and camera raw. I also did a lot of cleanup with the spot tool. This is full frame no cropping.

I was playing around with my iPhone 15 pro max macro mode. This is a backlit bougainvillea petal. I edited this in photoshop and camera raw. I cropped this image quite a bit and used generative fill on the top corners as it was very difficult to compose in camera given how short I am and how high the petal was...

The crocus, like a robin in your yard, is the first sign that Spring is about to blossom.
Early Spring flowers always raise my spirit with a burst of colors after the whiteness of winter.

A Goat's Beard looks like a dandelion on steroids and this one was found in Thee Palouse area of Washington State. Since it was windy outside, I picked this one and stuck it in my sneaker in the back of my SUV then used the black seat backs as my backround. Without a macro lens on this trip, I used my 100-400 zoom from a distance to create the macro look.

I had left a cut butternut open on the kitchen counter while I worked and next thing this little guy landed on it and started enjoying the juices it produced. He was a happy guy for a long time, getting his sugar hit I suspect..
Caught this munching on my lavender bush and decided to photograph him before I flicked him off to save the lavender leaves from looking like a lace design
My early journey into photography in 2021, I found this dead wasp on my bathroom counter. I think my photo stacking abilities have improved since then but I still love the rendition of this little creature
