Reviewing each other's work often provides fresh perspectives on our own photography that we might overlook. Constructive feedback, even if initially unwelcome, often leads to improvement and growth. Expect to receive advice that may not align with your views, however, do your best to understand the perspective behind it. If you disagree, remember, it's subjective and everyone is entitled to their own views!

Celebrate the beauty of everyday objects in our "Still Life" gallery. These images transform ordinary arrangements into stunning compositions filled with texture and depth.

Since I'm mainly a wildlife, bird and nature photographer, this copper eagle weathervane caught my eye as a still life subject... had not really thought about being able to have a wildlife theme to this challenge!

As I wandered around our house, thinking about still life photo ops, realized that the outdoor kitchen and table was sitting there, a still life waiting for use. A completely different way for me think about still life images.

This was a challenging assignment for me... I always think of 'still life's'as flower or fruit arrangements on a table with a blank background... started looking around our home for a different angle and realized that our Carousel Horse (Original from Barnum & Bailey Circus) made an appropriate subject (I think)

I worked a friend's wedding and could not resist this beautiful bouquet that she held that day.
The delicacy of the tulip with its meaning of new life drew me to creating this image. I used two texture layers to create a more interesting background.
I used the natural light coming through the window, a vase full of tulips, and a wine glass. This is also ICM.

wanted to take the needles of the cactus but on a different way so I submerged it and as bubbles for I took the picture
While I do not do a lot of still life photography, this table setting lit by natural light through the window of an old cabin on a Georgia plantation captured my attention
